On September 20, Hyperion was honored to participate as a partner in the “Markets and Sovereignty” event organized by Souveraine Tech. This day, rich in exchange and reflection, brought together experts and influential personalities to discuss the crucial issues of France’s digital and economic sovereignty.
A rich and varied program to meet major challenges
The day began with a captivating introduction by François Bert, founder of the École du Discernement, who highlighted the importance of strategic discernment in decision-making. This was followed by an inspiring talk from Raphaël Angleraux and Émeric Cocault, co-founders of Icodia, who shared their unique experience as Bretons in keeping control of their datacenter.
The event then covered a wide range of topics, from cybersecurity, with a roundtable discussion led by experts such as Stéphanie Ledoux and Cyril Bras, to agricultural sovereignty, with a talk by Sébastien Picardat, Managing Director of Agdatahub. One of the highlights of the morning was the speech by guest of honor Arnaud Montebourg, who presented his vision for restoring France’s sovereignty in the key areas of agriculture and industry.
Afternoon dedicated to the future of economic and technological sovereignty
The afternoon was marked by several exceptional round tables, including one on the obstacles and levers of European economic sovereignty, with contributions from Nicolas Ravailhe and Philippe Latombe. Claude Revel then took the floor to remind us of the importance of freeing our brains from external conditioning, an essential consideration in a context of growing dependence on foreign influences.
The day continued with discussions on the financing of the defense industry, a sector essential to our sovereignty, and ended on an energy note with Emmanuelle Galichet, who stressed the need to refocus our strategy around nuclear power to guarantee our energy independence.
