The sustainable datacenter solution Hyperion, developed by our Groupe Numains, has been officially awarded the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label.
Hyperion thus joins the circle of more than 1,500 innovative and profitable companies committed to environmental protection, identified by Solar Impulse.
Hyperion: The Next-Generation Data Center for Responsible Energy Management
The Numains group has developed the HYPERION solution, designed to improve the environmental impact of digital technology while reducing the investment and operational costs of data centers. This solution aims to provide a sustainable vision for the data centers of businesses and local communities.
By reusing waste energy (energy produced by servers and normally “lost” in traditional data centers), the HYPERION solution can be easily deployed to heat buildings (preheating, underfloor heating, hot water, etc.). To enable this heat recovery system, HYPERION uses immersion cooling technology. In short: the servers are submerged in a biodegradable, long-lasting heat transfer fluid. This technology also helps to increase the available IT power density.

“Hyperion is a data hosting solution for data centers that has been designed to combine maximum performance with optimized energy and environmental impact,” explains Xavier Colas, our Director of Innovation and Strategic Projects Manager. “Our solution does not require air conditioning and can be installed in any type of building, whether in a commercial property or on an industrial site, without the need for a clean room. Hyperion allows you to nearly halve electricity consumption and recover the waste energy generated by IT usage. Several deployment projects are currently underway, in data centers, businesses, and local authorities, both in France and abroad, in response to significant demand. This is especially true in hot countries where the challenges are considerable. It is indeed absurd to air-condition a room to less than 20°C when it’s over 35°C outside, both from an environmental and an energy standpoint.”
Solar Impulse identifies innovative solutions that are economically viable and environmentally positive
The goal of the “World Alliance for Clean Technologies” organization, in collaboration with the “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” label launched by Bertrand Piccard, is to identify and evaluate existing, innovative, and environmentally beneficial solutions.
These solutions have been subjected to an evaluation by independent experts, based on a verified methodology and various criteria.
Receiving this international accreditation is a significant recognition for the selected solutions, and Hyperion is now part of this esteemed group.
The Solar Impulse label: A recognition and opportunities for Hyperion.
Hyperion sees the acquisition of the Solar Impulse label as a prestigious recognition, reflecting its commitment to “responsible digital technology,” as stated in the Group Numains slogan.
“The Solar Impulse label offers several advantages,” says Nicolas Boulinguiez, CEO of the Numains Group. “For our company, this label represents increased recognition and visibility both nationally and internationally. It also strengthens our credibility with our clients, partners, suppliers, and prospects.”

The labeling certifies that the HYPERION solution meets the challenges of sustainability and energy efficiency. By carrying the label, HYPERION strives to contribute to the global effort to reduce the environmental footprint of digital technology. The Solar Impulse label serves as an additional motivation for HYPERION to innovate.
The label also opens up commercial opportunities by providing access to a network of partners and experts in the energy sector. This can lead to new business opportunities, strategic collaborations, and investments.
About the Numains Group and Hyperion
